Bug Id 238681 - NPE While starting eclipse NPE during retrieving Launching Plugin preferences while Java Tooling Initialization Description : https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=238681 The defect is not reproduced but a probable cause may be the manual creation of LaunchingPlugin.
