But enough with theoretical talk : developers do need high-level doc, and it's not me who says it, but the developers themselves !

In a recent survey performed on a very large number of people, from open-source and Proprietary softwares, developers were asked what kind of doc they would want to use, and what kind of doc they actually use in their day-to-day work.

The results are stunning : let me just quote the conclusion of this study. |
| Althoug developpers a getting of lot of detailed information of the code (through Javadoc mostly), they are lacking the high-level overviews on softwares and architecture |
| that would realy help them to understand the software.

But one can ask, if high-level doc is wanted that much, why does no one write it ? Or why does everyone write it so bad ?
