<H1>Overview of the OpenDocument Accessibility mode</H1>
<P>
OpenDocument Format (ODF) is a standardized file format for office suite applications.
</P>
<P>
ODF 1.0 was approved as an OASIS standard on 1 May 2005,
and it was approved as the <a href="http://www.iso.org/iso/en/CatalogueDetailPage.CatalogueDetail?CSNUMBER=43485&scopelist=PROGRAMME">ISO/IEC 26300:2006 standard</a>.
It is available as the <a href="http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=office#odf10">ODF 1.0 specification</a> from the OASIS ODF Technical Committee page.
</P>
<P>
ODF 1.1 was approved as an OASIS standard on 2 February 2007. Some accessibility functions were added in this version.
This newer standard is available as the <a href="http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=office#odf11">ODF 1.1 specification</a> from the OASIS ODF Technical Committee page.
</P>
<P>
The OpenDocument Accessibility mode of aDesigner supports accessibility checking for ODF files.
With the OpenDocument Accessibility mode, the accessibility information in ODF files can be checked automatically.
In addition, the OpenDocument Accessibility mode simulates how the ODF file is read out by screen readers without actually using a screen reader.
The low vision mode of the OpenDocument Accessibility mode simulates weak eyesight, color vision deficiencies, cataracts, and their combinations.
</P>

<H2>Contents supported by the OpenDocument Accessibility mode</H2>
<P>
This mode supports for OpenDocument Text (ODT), OpenDocument Spreadsheet (ODS), OpenDocument Presentation (ODP) defined in ODF specification,
and supports for the two different versions, ODF 1.0 and 1.1.
</P>
<H2>Requirements for the OpenDocument Accessibility mode</H2>
<P>
This mode requires installing OpenOffice.org.
