| <p>After you link the pages of a Web application, you must define |
| the link properties.</p> |
| <p><span class="strong">To define link properties:</span></p> |

| <p>On the <span class="strong">Navigation Rule</span> page of the <span |
| class="strong">JSF Application Configuration Editor,</span> with the <span |
| class="strong">Palette</span> open, select <span class="strong">Select</span> |
| on the Palette.</p> |
| <p>This activates the Select control, which allows you to select a |
| link in the editor.</p> |

| <p>Select the link for which you want to define properties.</p> |
| <p>The Quick Edit tab of Properties displays Link properties.</p> |

| <p>Click the ellipsis <span class="inlinemediaobject"><img |
| src="images/dotbox.gif" width="24"></span> after the <span |
| class="strong">From Outcome</span> field.</p> |
| <p>The Outcome Selection dialog box appears.</p> |

| <p>Either type the outcome or select an outcome from the Action |
| list and click <span class="strong">OK</span>.</p> |

| <p>Click the arrow in the <span class="strong">Redirect </span>field |
| and select either true or false.</p> |

| <p>Repeat steps 2 - 5 to define each link in the Web application.</p> |

| <p>Select <span class="strong">File|Save</span> from the main menu |
| bar to save the faces-config.xml file.</p> |
