| The Eclipse Foundation has begun to accept targeted corporate contributions to fund enhancements to the Eclipse Java and Java EE IDEs. | |
| As an initial success in January 2015, Ericsson provided the funds to provide SWT, Mac platform, GTK3, and PDE improvements in the Mars release.<br><br> | |

| On August 11, we will be asking for your vote on whether the Foundation can offer a modified membership agreement to government agencies | |
| who would like to join our working groups, but are unable to sign the agreement because it stipulates New York state as the governing law. | |
| A change to the agreement requires consent from the members at large. So your vote matters a great deal, since we must have | |
| an appropriate return of votes before we can make this change.<br><br> | |
