== Notes on interaction between OSEE and Cameo

Cameo Enterprise Architecture ships with a complete Java API to program interactions with Cameo.
https://docs.nomagic.com/display/PLE190/OpenAPI[Cameo OpenAPI]

== Current content:

Cameo supports modeling system and subsystem functions in the the Systems Modeling Language (SysML) standard.

Systems and Subsystems Requirements can be imported from DOORs into the model and modeled as SysML requirements, read only, synchronized with DOORs using a DOORs connectivity module.

Changes to the requirements are accomplished through the normal DOORs engineering change process.

== The goal for OSEE:

For OSEE to support integration with Cameo through the Cameo OpenAPI.

Develop a Cameo Java plugin that makes REST calls to the OSEE server to do the following:

Maintain a reference artifact in OSEE that will be used to represent important Cameo objects in OSEE.
The Cameo module will be able to:

* Allow linking/unlinking Cameo objects from their associated OSEE objects
* Cameo plugin will obtain a unique artifact id for each Cameo object from the OSEE server

== OSEE References

* OSEE reference artifacts will model the chosen Cameo objects.
* OSEE will make it possible to mark referenced objects with PL applicability.
* OSEE will provide relations to allow additional traceability to support reports like the system safety report.
