<h1>R CMD Tools</h1>
<p>Eclipse allows to define so-called <a href="PLUGINS_ROOT/org.eclipse.platform.doc.user/concepts/concepts-exttools.htm"
>External Tools</a>. The StatET plug-in offers a convenient interface to define launch
configurations for all R CMD Tools. This allows to build, check and install packages using the R
version and options of your choice and by simple selecting the configured configurations from a
menu in the GUI.</p>
<img style="width: 1023px; height: 693px;" alt="Screenshot R CMD Tools in Use"
src="../images/screenshot_r_cmd_tools_in_use.png"/>
<p>As can be seen from the screenshot, the output of the R CMD Tools is nicely displayed in the
<a href="console_view.xhtml">Console view</a> in Eclipse.</p>

<h3>R CMD Sweave</h3>
<p>It is possible as well to define a specific configuration for R CMD Sweave.</p>
<p>Note that the Sweave Add-on of StatET offers more flexible ways of Sweaving with or without
using a R CMD Sweave configuration.</p>
