Dear EclipseCon speaker,

Thanks for speaking at EclipseCon 2012! I'm sure
you will soon be working hard on your presentation, and we appreciate that. We have now
scheduled the tutorials and
talks. You have probably already found yourself
on the website schedule, but please be sure to double-check the day and time to avoid surprises.

Here are a few more things to consider while you're getting ready for EclipseCon:

The Obvious Reminders. All speakers must sign a Speaker Agreement
and register for the conference. If
you haven't already done so, please sign your agreement right away
by clicking on the Speaker Agreement link on your website account page.
Note that you will NOT appear on the Presenters page until you sign your agreement!

For those not using a speaker coupon, be sure to register now for the best price.
(Fees go up after December 31.) Remember to use a MEMBER, COMMITTER, ALUMNI, or OSGI coupon if those apply to you.

We suggest making your hotel reservation soon, since the hotel may sell out.

Your Presenter Presence. The Presenters page displays
your name, organization, photo, interests, presentation name, and Twitter handle. Please make sure your information is
complete and correct in your website account so it looks nice on this page. As mentioned above, you
won't appear here until you sign your Speaker Agreement.

Talk Up Your Talk. Please help promote EclipseCon and Agile ALM Connect to your community
and network – blog, tweet, or post about your sessions. Invite friends and colleagues to attend.
Also, consider adding an EclipseCon logo to your e-signature; we have lots of
them here.

The Intertubes. There is WiFi throughout the hotel. The WiFi is generally pretty good, but there is only so much
bandwidth (due to the laws of physics). If you absolutely need a
reliable Internet connection for your talk, contact us at
speakers@eclipsecon.org. (Please note that a wired
drop is very expensive, so you need to have a good reason
for needing one; I'm sure you understand.)

Tutorial Help. For tutorial presenters, please be sure your
talk abstract lists the software that attendees should install before they
arrive at your session. If you wish to send email to your tutorial registrants,
request the list from us at speakers@eclipsecon.org. We will also provide
you with two USB sticks, but this distribution method is not recommended – the
sticks should be your last resort. (Please pick these up at the registration desk.)

We have student workers to help tutorial presenters this year.
If you are giving a tutorial, please be thinking of ways your worker can help (distributing
data, keeping track of the question queue, etc.) We will send more information about this later,
and put you in contact with your assigned helper a few weeks before the conference.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at speakers@eclipsecon.org. Thank you
again for helping us put on a great conference!

Thanks again,
Ian Skerrett, Conference Chair
Anne Jacko, Operations Chair
Doug Schaefer, Program Chair
