My first contact with the Eclipse Foundation was through the Eclipse IDE, which still is my preferred IDE.
Years later, I started collaborating with the EF on behalf of the Java User Group Darmstadt (Germany) to organize local events. As iJUG, an association of German speaking JUGs, became an EF Member, that got extended to events like the EclipseCon (Europe), JavaLand and a local edition of JakartaOne (German) live from the CloudLand last year. Besides, I am representing iJUG within the EF as delegate in the Jakarta EE, MicroProfile, Adoptium Working Groups and as part of the MP Telemetry spec team.

With my experience representing user organizations in EF Working Groups, I would like to give Committers a voice in the EF Board to further develop EF on behalf of her values with improving processes and operation tools, i.e. optimizing the specification process with Continuous Integration and automated compliance testing or communication tooling. Therefore, the Committers can concentrate on what they like to do, such as improving Open Source Software and Specifications!
Another aspect would be to remove barriers for Contributors, the potential next generation Committers, in EF Projects as possible.
