After over a decade being part of the Eclipse community it has been an honour over the last year to serve at the
highest level, the Board of Directors. In the past year on the board of directors I have learnt a
tremendous amount in a great environment. I am also pleased to have made an impact and achieved the following:
| |

| |

Succeeded in getting Diversity & Inclusion to be a regular agenda item discussed at board level, including at the main
face-to-face meeting in June.
| |

Secured dedicated funding for a Diversity & Inclusion initiative that will act as a catalyst
for pushing forward diversity initiatives within the community in a sustainable manner.
| |

Pushed for better focus on Eclipse branding and obtained a resolution for a set of common
branding materials to empower each member of the community to spread the word.
| |

| |

If re-elected, I would like to keep focussing on growth and build on this success in the following ways:
| |

Diversity
| |

Continue to lead the board in supporting the new diversity & inclusion initiative at the Eclipse Foundation and
the community at large so we can grow in new ways, include more contributors and committers from
underrepresented groups, and benefit from the innovation that comes with more diverse thoughts around the table.
| |

Brand Messaging
| |

Champion the Eclipse Foundation to provide a common set of brand materials to empower each and every Eclipse member
company, committer or contributor to be a brand ambassador for the community, their project or working group. A strong
brand communicates a consistent message, increases global awareness, motivates prospective members to join,
makes our objectives easier to achieve and increases pride in being a member of this community.
| |

Working Groups
| |

Continue to represent the sustaining members as we navigate the fast moving changes in open source
software and the wider technology industry. Continue to promote initiatives that build on the successful
working group model and foster collaboration to leverage this unique strength of the Eclipse community.
| |
