Eclipse Community Thrives at EclipseCon 2005</b></span></b></h1>
<P><strong> ECLIPSECON, BURLINGAME, CA</strong> &mdash; <strong>March 1, 2005</strong>&mdash;The Eclipse Foundation today announced widespread participation from the Eclipse community in its second annual user show and exposition, EclipseCon 2005, which is sold-out. The show features 37 exhibitors and broad attendance from member companies, including five new Strategic Developers. </p>
<p> &ldquo;The Eclipse ecosystem has been instrumental in driving the pervasiveness of the Eclipse platform,&rdquo; said Mike Milinkovich, executive director, Eclipse Foundation. &ldquo;This week, member companies are gathered again for our second annual conference, and they are bringing forward new and enhanced Eclipse-based solutions. These announcements demonstrate a real commitment to grow the Eclipse ecosystem and propel commercial adoption.&rdquo; </p>
<p>News highlights from Eclipse members include: </p>

<li> Accelerated Technology&reg;, a Mentor Graphics division (Nasdaq: MENT), today announced its Nucleus&reg; EDGE software development environment now supports Eclipse version 3.0, the latest version of the open framework. The Nucleus EDGE software provides developers with a more advanced embedded tool suite that allows them to build, compile, debug and deploy embedded applications more quickly and easily. <li> BEA Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BEAS) joined the Eclipse Foundation as a Strategic Developer and Board Member. BEA was elected to co-lead the Web Tools Platform (WTP) project. BEA is proposing a new Language Development Tools project and is also merging its open source AspectWerkz project with the Eclipse AspectJ project. See:

<li> Borland (Nasdaq: BORL) became a Strategic Developer Member of Eclipse Foundation. Raaj Shinde, vice president of product strategy and Architecture at Borland will take a seat on the Eclipse Board of Directors. Borland has been an Eclipse member since the inception of Eclipse.
