Status of RC Risks

BIRT, TPTP, DTP, GMF, WTP, Platform all state that the RC risks are minimal.
BIRT reports that it will take another week to put the jar signing process in
place, so they might be a week late for RC1. WTP reports that they are doing a
1.0.2 maintenance release and that might cause a few days slide in their RC1
release.

M5 Testing and the Callisto Bugzilla Contest

All project leads stated that their team is testing (or intends to test)
their own project with all the Callisto projects loaded, but nobody committed to
testing any of the other projects or cross-project issues that are not triggered
by their own project. John Graham has requested some additional testing people
from Sybase to do a bit more of a cross-project test scenario.

None of the project leads are running the "greatbug" query and
there do not appear to be any great bugs at this time. The concern, of course,
isn't that nobody wants to win the T-shirts, iPods, and bicycle, but rather that
nobody is doing any cross project testing.

Why Callisto?

Triggered by an email from Ed Burnette, we discussed the "why are we
doing Callisto?" question. Our conclusion was that we are doing this to
help adopters. Mostly for ISV adopters and also for user and developer adoption.

Installer, Updates, and Downloads

We discussed the installer issues again. The general consensus was that we
were not happy with the update site solution and that we should have a zip file
download page. Bjorn discussed his idea for a "choose your options"
page that downloads a custom zip file, but later Denis expressed doubts that the
infrastructure could handle it (dynamically generating takes too much CPU;
caching takes too much disk space). Perhaps a single all-in-one download?

ACTION ITEM [Bjorn] - look into an all-in-one zip file solution

Release Reviews

We need to start scheduling the release and IP reviews so that we find the
time to do them all and to get the appropriate IP reviews completed in time.

ACTION ITEM [Bjorn] - work with the project leads and Janet to schedule a
common release review the week of May 21st and to sequence the IP reviews so
that they all get done.
