Action Items From Last Week
ACTION ITEM [Bjorn] - prepare a sample slide deck with the essential slides |
| and distribute to the project leads - still no progress.
ACTION ITEM [Kevin] - Will test the hybrid (some jars have Pack 200, some do |
| not) case and ensure that it works - no report.
Contribution Questionnaires
Everyone reports that all their third-party contribution questionnaires have |
| been submitted to Eclipse Legal.
RC2, RC3, and Overall Status
Everyone said that their RC3 bits are coming along well, that their project |
| is stabilizing, and that they are confident they will meet the Callisto release |
| date. Everyone is getting into more of a rhythm with generating the release |
| candidates and that both the release and the inter-project bug reporting/solving |
| process is going well. Projects are still uncertain about the Pack 200 issue.
The biggest risk item the group sees is the lack of unified testing. Some of |
| the projects are testing with full Callisto distros whereas others are testing |
| with only subsets of the projects. Integration issues are still appearing. None |
| of the projects has resources dedicated to testing the entire Callisto distro |
| and thus it's not getting done - the testing that is happening is "my |
| project works when everything is loaded" rather than "all projects |
| work with each other".
SDKs/Capabilities/Runtimes
It's too late to add new features to Callisto - we're in bug-fixing mode |
| only. We decided that Callisto is about the runtime - the simultaneous release |
| of the runtimes, not about the SDKs. The idea of a simultaneous release of the |
| SDKs can be considered for next year's "Callisto".
