The Voice Tools Project. team actively took our advice
and has become more public (they're currently #2 on the dashboard). Ward will
send a thank you.

We reviewed the response from the IDE for Laszlo project.
Amy Muntz explained that they've been actively working on those things (being
more public), but they have yet to actually get it together and that it was
harder than they thought to jump through all the hoops to get started. We noted
that we're not seeing that struggle in public. Amy volunteered to prototype a
checklist. Ward will talk with Amy again.

As
with all project reviews, we started by looking at the public evidence of the
project: mailing lists, newsgroups, bugzilla, website, project plan, CVS
repository, etc. We noticed that there is no discussion on the dev mailing list;
the website does not list team members nor project leaders nor milestones nor a
project plan; there are only two bugs in the bugzilla, neither of which has been
responded to by the development team; most of the CVS files were committed three
months ago and have not been touched since; there are no integration or
milestone builds

We reviewed the Parallel Tools Project. As
with all project reviews, we started by looking at the public evidence of the
project: mailing lists, newsgroups, bugzilla, website, project plan, CVS
repository, etc. We found that there was a small developer community and that
there was a big install "cliff" to overcome in order to use the tools.
We suggest that they make it easier to install, either through tools (an
installer) or through detailed checklists and instructions. We also found that
they need to schedule meetings in advance (a time, a call-in number) so that
others can attend (if they want), and that they need to update their project
website to be more transparent to the larger eco-system. Cliff volunteered to be
the PTP mentor.

No meeting next week, so on the 27th we will review Higgins
