| |
Highlights
From 3.5.0 onward, Virgo can be initial provisioned via p2. Bug 343543 and its dependencies track the work done on this topic. Now it's possible, using the standard p2 director, to provision every Virgo distribution.
This release candidate is more a bugfix release with almost no new features and small optimisations. Most notable is the upgrade of the Eclipse bundles to the Juno release train binaries. Another notable change is consumption of some third-party bundles from Eclipse Orbit instead of EBR. This has the consequence of different symbolic names for the bundles from Orbit, so keep an eye on that in case you had a fragment or required any of them in your own projects.
This milestone also includes many bugfixes and other enhancements.
Notable enhancements for future releases (3.5.1/3.6.0+)
Improved Virgo Web Console.
Tooling working with Virgo Nano.
Support Java Enterprise APIs.
